Storm permitting, we will cut DAGGRE over to the new combinatorial engine this week. The first launch window will be Monday night, DC time. Depending on the weather and final countdown holds, it could be delayed a bit, but should be up before November 1. We’ll tweet (@DAGGRE_) when we’re taking the site offline for the cutover. It should only be out for an hour or so. (Of course, if the storm knocks out the Amazon data center, that’s another story.)
The most visible changes are:
- You can condition your edits on the outcome of related questions!
- More informative edit previews.
- Comment when submitting edits.
- “Exit” renamed “Equalize” and moved onto the Question page.
- Much improved score details, via “My Profile”.
- Participant names hotlink to participant info.
- Question numbers hotlink back to questions.
- Updated tutorials! (These are available now, in the Support Center.)
There are many, many more changes both to the interface and the core engine. We’re very excited.
Stay tuned.
(And for those of you on the east coast, stay dry.)
