We closed more baseball questions over the weekend. Anyone living in the DC area is probably still weeping over the Nats elimination and many of our market participants will probably have already noticed that New York will advance to ALCS, Baltimore will not advance to ALCS, St Louis will advance to NLCS and Washington will not advance to NLCS (sigh!).
Here are the Brier Scores for these questions: #299 (St. Louis) with 0.76; #302 (Washington) with 0.85; #305 (New York) with 0.27; #300 (Baltimore) with 0.32.
The Brier Score is the measurement of forecasting accuracy. The lower the BS, the better. For these questions, the market din not do very well with respect to St. Louis and Washington, but performed better for the questions with respect to New York and Baltimore. We prefer Brier Scores below 0.1 though.
The World Series will be resolving soon! Keep trading on the remaining baseball questions!
