Unless something changes, the March 17-19 Workshop is full.
We’re very sorry, but we had no idea there would be such a tremendous response. We have hit our budget and room limits. We are deeply grateful for all the enthusiasm!
For those who would like, it may be possible to attend the workshop only, but not the banquet. We have to get final counts. Travel & lodging stipends definitely require a wait list. Those who have replied and don’t get in will have priority next year.
We are also setting up a video conference, and information will go out next week.
What about people who registered, payed their accomodations out of pocket, and tried for the travel reimbursement? That is not fair. This is trend analysis. Analyze budgets and prepare for the people. If not, do not make promises you can not keep! People take time off work and other commitments to attend these conferences. In addition, some of us did not request compensation on the premise that we could go to this conference. I work in the grant field and have done grant auditing. This type of handling of grant funds is not considered acceptable! This is deceptive and borderline fraudulent by misrepresentation. Get Mason involved and execute on your expressed promises. I expect better from George Mason University!
Existing registrants are covered. If in any doubt, email or call our admin at the numbers provided on the workshop flyer.
The problem was one email that went out last week without my vetting — it was poorly worded for the number of people it was sent to and implied we could cover more new registrations than we can. I’m working to do right by as many as possible.
Again, if you registered, you should be covered.
Thank You
There’s another problem. The site still won’t take new reimbursements and due to the late info. I had to book Greyhound and have to head out tomorrow(Wednesday) before the problem is resolved.
I am getting ready to leave and I guess I will give them to Merc there? I don’t know if I can check this email again before I leave. I will need the accomodations for Saturday and Sunday please
Merc says she’s spoken to you personally — you’re in good hands.
